Swans sign Lita


Swansea City have completed the signing of Leroy Lita from Middlesbrough after the striker completed his medical.


The Barclays Premier League newcomers had previously agreed a £1.75m fee and sealed personal terms on a three-year contract with the player, who becomes manager Brendan Rodgers' fourth signing of the summer.And Swansea fans may get the chance to see the former Reading forward in action during Wednesday's friendly against Celtic at the Liberty Stadium.A statement on the Swansea website read: "Swansea City are pleased to confirm they have completed the signing of striker Leroy Lita after he passed a medical today (Wednesday)."Lita signed for Middlesbrough on a free transfer from Reading in 2009. He netted eight times for Boro in his first campaign, before ending last season as second top scorer with 12 goals.He has also spent time with Bristol City, Reading, Charlton Athletic and Norwich City earlier in his career.
