Dalglish waiting on Suarez

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is playing a waiting game with star striker Luis Suarez.

Dalglish says he will have to wait and see whether Suarez will be ready for the start of the season. After helping Uruguay lift the Copa America this summer, Suarez will make a delayed return to pre-season training with the Reds next weekSuarez was named the competition's Most Valuable Player after scoring four goals in the tournament to finish as leading marksman. He has since been given extended leave and it remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will be involved for Liverpool's opening fixture of the Barclays Premier League campaign against Sunderland at Anfield.Dalglish said: "Luis will be back next week some time and we'll start thinking about him then. We'll just see when he comes in."He's had a fantastic summer in the Copa America both as an individual and as a team player."We'll see how he is when he comes in and have a discussion with him. We can't predict what he is going to be like."Suarez made a big impact at Anfield after joining from Ajax in January, scoring four goals in 13 Barclays Premier League appearances. His direct running, sharpness in the box and eye for goal played a major role in firing the Reds to a sixth-place finish.
