Brunt has agreed terms on a three-year contract extension, plus a further season's option in the club's favour, potentially taking him up to the end of the 2014-2015 campaign.Head coach Roy Hodgson said: "I'm pleased Chris has been rewarded with this extension on improved terms. It is fully deserved.Just last week last season's Players' and Fans' Player of the Year in fellow midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu also pledged his future to Albion through to the end of 2015For Brunt, the latest deal is the second time he has been offered a one-year contract extension in just 13 months, highlighting the exceptional form he displayed last season. The 26-year-old, who cost Albion £3m in 2007 when signed from Sheffield Wednesday, took up the skipper's armband in January this year from goalkeeper Scott Carson. In a strong second half of the season, that coincided with Hodgson's arrival in mid-February, Brunt lost just three matches as captain as Albion went onto finish a high of 11th in the Barclays Premier League. With 157 appearances and 31 goals behind him for Albion, Hodgson added on Brunt: "He's been a great club servant and I'm delighted he's committed himself for a longer period."
